The huge fuss regarding Macedonia and Skopje and Alexander the Great has been quite complex to understand for many foreign people, and for myself who has not grown up in Greece.

I was sent this interesting link about the issue with a letter to Obama by independant researchers . I found the article easy to understand and concise. It gave simple answers and clearly showed that Macedonia is Greek.

Maybe for better understanding, the forum members could spread this article to others who don't speak or read Greek.

Excellent post! I agree. The dangers of cholesterol is a myth compounded by the great ability of the pharamaceutical companies to make a lot of money medicalising natural events.

Add to that the pain and suffering Statin drugs (cholesterol lowering) cause millions of people. They affect the muscles, the mind and the kidneys. My husband was in very bad pain for years, as soon as he stopped taking the statins all the pain was gone.

There has been much research done and plenty on the internet to read about the dangers of taking these drugs. I am enclosing an easy to read link below outlining a book written by Dr Malcolm Kendrick on this subject.

Ok...great to get all the imput. We are in Thess for a while and then Athens. We have places we stay in both towns until we get a permanent place.

What about wireless, is that any better?

As for voip, maybe it is not as sophisticated yet in Greece as elsewhere, since the digital age has not yet caught up. I use Skype for calls overseas because it's transportable when travelling and can be used out of an internet cafe also.

One more question

Is it possible to 'park' (stop for a short time) and resume later any of the internet providers while we are away overseas, or do we have to pay for the time we are away.

Hmmmm I think that my forcing everyone to write in English is going to give you all good practice! Don't be shy of mistakes...you all write much better than my Greek.

Please also quote me prices if you have them. Unfortunately we have to bring our money from overseas and the exchange rate is terrible..for every Euro we have to pay $2.30 so living in gGeece is very costly and that is why I am looking for the best options.

Please feel free to write in Greek...I am not allowed to write Greelklish so I have to answer you in English since my written 'real' Greek would take me an hour to type and would be so full of mistakes you would all cry laughing.

Hello...I am Greek from overseas, I can read Greek but cannot write in Greek. Please can someone advise us on which company to use for internet and telephone. We would like the most economical. At the moment we use OTE which is expensive. We would like to be able to have unlimited internet and phone calls if possible

I can read Greek answers no problem.
