Επιστροφή στο Forum : Fritzbox 7270 μαζί με Speedport Entry 2i
Σε λίγες μέρες θα μου έρθει από Γερμανία το Fritzbox 7270 και θα ήθελα να κάνω μερικές ερωτήσεις πάνω σε πράγματα που έχω διαβάσει σε άλλα σχετικά threads, αλλά επειδή δεν έχω πολλές γνώσεις θα εκτιμούσα την βοήθειά σας ώστε να γίνουν πιο ξεκάθαρα.
1. Συνίσταται να κρατήσω το Γερμανικό firmware από άποψη σταθερότητας / bugs / updates;
2. Ποιος είναι ο προτεινόμενος τρόπος σύνδεσης (και ασφαλής, τουλάχιστον όσο ο default) Fritzbox και Speedport (η γραμμή μου είναι VDSL2 24Mbps)
* Speedport [Modem & Router & Voip] και Fritzbox μέσω αναλογικής -> ψηφιακής -> αναλογικής μετατροπής
* Speedport [Modem & Router] και Fritzbox μόνο για Voip
* Speedport [Modem] και Fritzbox [Router & Voip]

Το κομμάτι της ασφάλειας με ενδιαφέρει αρκετά και δεν θα με πείραζε λίγο χειρότερη απόδοση συνολικά. Με την default υλοποίηση (δηλαδή μόνο του το Speedport) μήπως γνωρίζετε πως αποφεύγονται οι επιθέσεις στις πόρτες του Voip; Είναι encrypted το σχετικό traffic;

Από την στιγμή που έχεις VDSL αναγκαστικά το Speedport θα είναι συνδεδεμένο στην τηλεφωνική γραμμή για να κάνει συγχρονισμό, αφού το 7270 είναι συμβατό μόνο με το ADSL.
Καλύτερη επιλογή είναι η 3η. Δηλαδή το Speedport σε Bridge mode ώστε να δουλεύει μόνο ως modem και το Fritz ως κύριο router (κάνοντας την κλήση ΡΡΡ) και μαζί το VoIP (θέλεις τον κωδικό).
Είτε στο Speedport, είτε στο Fritz, δεν υπάρχει θέμα επίθεσης στις πόρτες της SIP τηλεφωνίας. Και αυτό διότι η 5060 (στην οποία γίνεται επίθεση) είναι κλειστή απ' έξω. Ωστόσο στο Fritz, επειδή έχει και SIP server (το Speedport δεν έχει), αν τυχόν ανοίξεις την πρόσβαση ώστε να συνδεθείς από το διαδίκτυο στο PBX της συσκευής, τότε υπάρχει κίνδυνος. Και γι' αυτό λέμε ότι όποιος το κάνει, χρειάζεται ισχυρός κωδικός στις ρυθμίσεις του PBX και ακόμη καλύτερα σύνδεση μόνο με VPN.
Όσον αφορά την γλώσσα του firmware, αν σε βολεύει η γερμανική κράτα αυτήν. Υπόψη ότι το 7270 είναι πλέον καταργημένο μοντέλο και δεν υπάρχει πλέον αναβάθμιση του λογισμικού.
Απλά η διεθνής έκδοση έμεινε στην v5.53 ενώ η γερμανική έφθασε μέχρι την v6.06. Δες εδώ (ftp://ftp.avm.de/archive/fritz.box/fritzbox.fon_wlan_7270_v3/firmware/deutsch/info.txt) τα επιπλέον χαρακτηριστικά.

Ευχαριστώ πολύ. Όσον αφορά στο VPN, με καλύπτει αυτό που έχει μόνο του το Fritzbox, ή επειδή έχει καταργηθεί το συγκεκριμένο μοντέλο ενδέχεται να μην έχει τελευταία security updates, και κατ' επέκταση θα πρέπει να τρέχει αλλού το VPN;
Θα σε καλύψει και αυτό, αν και χρόνια έχω σταματήσει να το δουλεύω και πήγα σε OpenVPN.
