Μπλοκάροντας τα PING

Παιδια, μολις εβαλα ξανα adsl 768 απο OTE. Εκανα ενα online portscan με το γνωστο Shields Up και στο μονο που μου εβγαλε FAILED ηταν το Echo Requests:

Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED) — Your system REPLIED to our Ping (ICMP Echo) requests, making it visible on the Internet. Most personal firewalls can be configured to block, drop, and ignore such ping requests in order to better hide systems from hackers. This is highly recommended since "Ping" is among the oldest and most common methods used to locate systems prior to further exploitation.

Εσεις μπλοκάρετε τα Ping Scans; Λογικα ναι φαντάζομαι. Δεν χρειαζομαι κανενα Firewall προγραμμα του στιλ ZoneAlarm, αλλα και το Firewall των Windows το εχω απενεργοποιήσει. Γίνεται να μπλοκάρω αλλιως αυτο το Ping (of Death) ;

Δεν χρησιμοποιεις κανενα firewall ??

Οχι αφου εχω το Router που εχει NAT επανω. Τι να το κανω το επιπλεον Firewall ;

Αχ αργητε αργήτε, και σας προλαβα. Λοιπον απο το μενου του router, Security -> Access Control Services και uncheck το ICMP. Τοσο απλο και:
