εδω εισαι (θα μπορουσες να το εχεις πιο συμμαζεμενο και σε spoiler tag)
δωσε επισης:
dmesg | grep -i ralink
lsmod | grep -i rtνα δουμε τι αναγνωρισε το συστημα... αν και κανονικα θα επρεπε να βαλεις την τελευταια εκδοση (9.10 karmic)
όταν έγραψα dmesg | grep -i ralink δεν μ'έβγαλε τπτ
μέτα με τη lsmod | grep -i rt μ'έβγαλε αυτό:

sorry ξεχασα δεν εισαι root στο ubuntu...

ifconfigδες αν εμφανιζει καποιο interface με διακριτικο wlan0 'η παρεμφερες
επισης, εχεις κρυπτογραφηση στο router και ποια (WEP/WPA)?
δεν βλέπω κάτι που να λέει wlan0

Φαινεται οτι ανατεθηκε το interface eth1 στην ασυρματη καρτα σου.
Αρα εισαι οκ. Δοκιμασε να δεις αν σκαναρει με ενα
sudo iwlist scan
Θα πρεπει δεξια του eth1 να δεις τα διαφορα αποτελεσματα του scan, αρα δουλευει.

Εισαι αρκετα κοντα στο ρουτερ?
Το interface eth1 θα πρεπει να ειναι "ανοιχτο" για να σκαναρει, αρα κανε για καλο και για κακο
sudo ifup eth1
και μετα ξαναδοκιμασε το σκαναρισμα.
sudo iwconfig
θα σου πει αν εχεις ασύρματη συσκευή, και ποια είναι
Αν ειναι η eth1 (αλλιώς άλλαξε το όνομα στο σωστό)
(ολα με sudo πριν, το ξεχνάω.. εχω su)
ifconfig eth1 up
iwlist eth1 scan
Αν δεν εχει καμιά ασύρματη συσκευή, θα πάρεις τον (win) driver του usb-wifi και θα το φορτώσεις με το ndiswrapper
.. πολλές σχετικές οδηγίες κυκλοφορούν και ελληνικά στο διαδίκτυο
