Γεια χαρα σε όλους δε μπορω να καταλάβω γιατι μου λέει ο Router μου οτι η flash του είναι σε read only mode? βάζω βγάζω ios και φυσικά μπορώ και σβήνω το παλιο... που κολλαει το read only? νομιζω είδα και ενα jumber μεσα γιαυτο το readonly αλλα δε το πείραξα γιατι μπορώ και σβήνω απο την flash....

ΥΓ: Αν το IOS είναι συμπιεσμένο, τότε τρέχει από την RAM και δεν έχεις πρόβλημα στο να γράψεις στην flash.

Τα 2 ΜΒ που λεει ο router ποια είναι?
Εγω ξέρω οτι έχω 4mb dram και 8mb flash..
To ios δεν ειναι συμπιεσμένο και το φορτώνω με tftp.. copy tftp flash

Όπως μπορείς να δεις και στον συννημένο δεν έχεις αρκετή μνήμη για αυτό το image.

Μα το ios χωρεσε στην flash και ο router μου δουλευει μια χαρα.. βεβαια δεν εχω σηκωσει τιποτα eigrp η εστω rip μια stiatic εχω μονο :) γιατι το μηχανημα το έχω για εκμάθηση αλλα το χρησιμοποιώ σα gateway στο pc μου και εχω internet που σημαίνει οτι δουλέυει μια χαρα το μηχανημα..
Μηπως στο site της cisco μας λεει οτι απλα δε μπορώ να χρησιμοποιήσω ΟΛΕΣ τις δυνατότητες του ios..

Όταν κάνεις upgrade το ios, σου ζητάει reboot ΠΡΙΝ το περάσει στη flash?
Επίσης μπορείς να καταγράψεις σε ένα log την πλήρη διαδιακασία καθώς κάνεις upgrade το ios?

cprotopapas ναι η boot rom που έχει το romon είναι read only... αλλα με παραξενέβει το γεγονος οτι το αναφέρει έτσι -->8192K bytes of processor board System flash (Read ONLY) δηλαδή το αναφέρει οποτε αναφέρεται στην flash memmory...

karavagos οχι ποτε δε μου ζήτησε reboot όσες φορες έβαλα καποιο ios μεσα το κάνω εγω μετα για να δω οτι όλα είναι οκ... Για το log file δε μπορω γιατι δε ξέρω πως γινεται :oops:

Μέσω του προγράμματος με το οποίο μπαίνεις στον router (από telnet ή από console) θα έπρεπε να υπάρχει κάποια επιλογή για να κρατήσεις log ή session log.

Αν πάλι δεν μπορείς, κάνε ένα copy-paste (ή έστω ένα screenshot) των μηνυμάτων που εμφανίζονται μετά την εντολή "copy tftp flash". Ελπίζω να μην φαίνεται "(boot)" ή "Flash Load helper...":whistle:

Routers that run Cisco IOS® Software from Flash have a feature called Flash Load Helper (FLH). When this is present in both Cisco IOS Software and ROM, the Flash is set to Read Only.
Because this is a cosmetic issue, it does not prevent copy operations. The copy process is handed off to the FLH. This can be demonstrated by issuing the show flash (http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Cmdlookup/ios-command-lookup.pl?type=reference&query=show+flash&paging=25&counter=0&release=123&su=Submit) command from Cisco IOS Software, then issuing the same command from boot mode.

Χμμμμ τελικά δε θυμόμουν καλα απο οτι είδα...ο router ζητάει reboot Πριν βαλει το ios μεσα.. και απο οτι θα δείτε και απο το Log έχει flash load helper. που σημαίνει οτι;;;
