Έστειλε ένα παλικαράκι mail στην Corsair λέγοντας ότι είναι από το site Tweaknews.net και ζητούσε τις πιό ακριβές μνήμες για ... review.....

Well, it's that time of year again. School is out and some young people have nothing better to do then to try to rip off companies for products.

Corsair contacted me with an odd email from a person posing as a hardware reviewer for Tweaknews.net.

Total Cost of Product he was trying to get: US$350

Here is the email:

To whom this may concern,

I am from http://www.tweaknews.net, we are highly interested in and
would be honoured to write a review on you memory module Twinx
1024-3200ll Pro. We would appreciate if you would kindly provide a sample of this product so that we can under go our own testing and come to our owe conclusion on how this module performs.

After this I was contacted by Corsair seeing I am in weekly contact with their marketing department. As you can see, this kid is posing a hardware reviewer for Tweaknews.net.

After the first email, Corsair replied with the following message.

HI Nathan,

I have emailed this person back saying that I will supply him with the
memory for he's review. I have asked for his address and phone number
for UPS shipping purposes and to send me the link once the review is
posted so we will see. Once he emails me back with that I will forward
that to you. OK. I thought that something was funny. I want to your site
and check out the contacts, so I thought that I would ask you, maybe you
had got a new reviewer. See it's a good thing I check into this.

And this is where the stupidity begins. The kid gives his full address and telephone #. What a friggin MORON!

Again, I don't give a crap about people that try to scam Tweaknews.net, my readers and the sponsors.

Being the funny kind of guy I am, I called the kid and posed as a Corsair representative. I asked about which modules he wanted (Corsair XL), how long he has worked for Tweaknews (he said 1.5 years ), what he has reviewed before (9800pro), and I played the role to a tee. Then I told him I had to tell him something and informed him who he was truly talking to.

All he could mutter was "Oh Yeah?" Then hung up the phone. I called back to tell his father about the situation and he didn't believe. Typical wanker father with a son that does no wrong.

So because of this, I don't give a crap about his personal information, here it is:

Every, lets let this kid know what you get for defrauding computer hardware websites.

It's people like this that ruins it for hardware sites.

Νομίζω ότι ήμουν ξεκάθαρος στα προηγούμενα posts για την αναφορά του τηλεφώνου

αυτος ειναι. σκιστε τον. (αλλα μαλλον το denial of service που του κανουμε θα εχει χτυπησει ολα τα τηλεφωνα της περιοχης του, πιθανοτερα το header 0061124382ΧΧΧΧ ολοκληρο....
Αν δεν εχει κατεβασει ολη την Αυστραλια (εξυπηρετειται απο Ινμαρσατ Ινδιαν οσεαν ρεγκιον και πασιφικ οσεαν ρεγκιον, και με οπτικες απο σιγκαπουρη) οποτε η Ευρωπη θα ριχνει τον Ινδικο, Η Αμερικη τον ειρηνικο και η Ασια (αν ασχολειται κανενας ιαπωνας) θα ριχνει την οπτικη....

Στο τελος η Τελστρα θα του κανει μηνυση και οχι το σαιτ....

panos72, ουτε εμενα το βγάζει ούτε σε mozilla ,όυτε σε Opera.

Αλλαξα το user agent σε Explorer και δουλευει κανονικα.

Και θέλουν να μας πουν οτι αυτό το site είναι σοβαρό και 'τεχνικό'?
