Wubi is the official installer of Ubuntu through Windows . It had been developped by a team of Ubuntu enthousiasts that wanted to promote the distribution among Windows users that wanted ease of Linux use .

It is currently a famous program in Ubuntuforums and it is fully supported by A.Russo (aliased as "ago" in the threads ) .

It is quite stable (even though it is currently in alpha stage ) and completely safe for use in every NT class of Windows (especially WinXP , Server 2003 , Vista )
