Hello,

apologies for English, but I do not speak Greek, still wanted to share my CRC / FEC errors, as it seemed odd to me, that this was the most recent post here, while we just started having the same issues over the past 10 days.

We have the same issues including disconnects for a few seconds, up to 20 minutes. Once an hour and sometimes more frequent. At night a lot less.

FEC usually reaches 10k within the first few minutes. From the screenshot you can see 61k in 27 minutes, including 1400 CRC.

INMHO it must be a Cosmote issue at the moment? We didn't have this number of errors before, nothing has changed apart from people doing construction up the road - but they are far away from our connection pole, and aren't even connected to it. Cosmote apparently rolls out fibre optic cables by the end of December in our street, but has already connected the main roads.

We have complained many times to them and we received a new router. Which obviously didn't fix anything.
Two days ago an engineer came over to check out the situation. Apparently he had never heard of CRC & FEC errors - or he just couldn't be bothered. Based on his inspections he saw an issue with the line attenuation.

He tested the cabinet in a different road and said it was fine, but switched our port nonetheless. He then proceeded and checked the pole on the road we are connected on and said that the connection there was also fine.

His main concern were the 14db on the Line Attenuation. From my observation it is usually around 10db for us - he said it should be 0.

Apparently we need to fix our cables ourselves from the pole to the house - which I am very hesitant to do, based on what I see here and online.

Anyways, I just wanted to share this with you, for you to have a comparison.
