In another huge win for Trump diplomacy and what is an immense relief for family members, American-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander, who has been held captive in the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, was released from Hamas captivity on Monday.

He is the last living American hostage in Gaza, and his freedom was accomplished by US dialogue with Hamas which reportedly cut out the Israelis.

Hamas is touting that it is ready to "achieve results in securing the release of prisoners" if it has a willing negotiating partner on the other side. It said further:

We reaffirm the movement’s readiness to immediately begin negotiations to reach a comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire agreement, ensure the withdrawal of the occupation army, lift the blockade, implement a prisoner exchange, and begin the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

We urge President Trump’s administration to continue its efforts to end this brutal war waged by the war criminal Netanyahu against children, women, and unarmed civilians in Gaza.

“There has never been a president more willing to stand up to the oligarchs” than President Donald Trump, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said during Monday morning’s press conference, where Trump signed an executive order to reduce the cost of prescription medications.

“This was an issue that people talked about. Nobody wanted to do anything because it was radioactive. They knew you couldn’t get it by Congress. We now have a president who is a man of his word, who has the courage,” he said, observing that the difference with Trump is, he “can’t be bought, unlike most of the politicians in this country.”

“And he is standing here for the American people. … There’s writers … who are saying that President Trump is on this side of the oligarchs. There has never been a president more willing to stand up to the oligarchs than President Donald Trump,” Kennedy said, telling the president that he is proud of him, lauding his courage for pursuing this.

“I never thought that this would happen in my lifetime. I have a couple of kids who are Democrats, are big Bernie Sanders fans, and when I told them that this was going to happen, they had tears in their eyes. They thought, this is never going to happen in our lifetime. And we finally have a president who’s willing to stand up for the American people,” he added.

Ο προϋπολογισμος που εκτελειται ειναι ο περυσινος (ψηφιστηκε περυσι δλδ) με προσθετα εσοδα απο δασμους και οτι περικοπες εγιναν λογω DOGE ή αλλων λογων. Ο επομενος προϋπολογισμος, η εκτελεση του οποιου θα αρχισει q4 2025 θα ναι του τραμπ.

Κοίτα αν και επίπονη η απόφαση, ήταν πολύ σωστό που υποχώρησε ο Τραμπ.

Η απόφαση που είχε πάρει στερούνταν οικονομικής λογικής και πολιτικά ήδη τα approval ratings πήγαν για βρούβες.

Άρα, η υποχώρηση (και τονίζω ήταν υποχώρηση ) ήταν μονόδρομος. Δεν είναι, δε, τυχαίο ότι ο Ναβάρρο, ο "σχεδιαστής" των ταριφών έχει απομακρυνθεί από το προσκήνιο.
