I suspect OTE is throttling my line

Hello from Zakynthos, i use a Fritzbox 7590 with VDSL 50/5

50 meters next to the DSLAM is a speed 55/27

From the DSLAM I'm around 800 meters away, measured with GPS.

If I look at my Negotiated Connection Properties, I should be able to achieve more than kbit / s 30,000 3998.

Attainable throughput kbit / s 41615 - 5857

I suspect OTE is throttling my line.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the assessment of the connection properties, can anyone judge this?

It looks that you are syncing at 30mbits, you cannot get 50mbits, did you call OTE help line to complain about disconnections and stability problems on your line?
If yes then they might put you at 30mbits because anything else is not stable.

The attainable is not always a correct measurement, it is just an estimate

Last summer the problems with the many disconnections started.
Up to these problems I had down 50,000 / up 30,000 at DSLAM when I reported the many disconnections to OTE support, they put me down to 30mb / 4mb (DSLAM), but the disconnections remained.
They got even worse.
I'm sure the downgrade to 30/4 will not affect more or less disconnections.

Today I had a break, the 1st for about 5 days, think that's normal and should not be a mistake.
Only since this 1 Disconnect I have many CRC errors, before no ......

Can I call 13888 and ask them to set the 50/5 again with DSLAM?

With this numbers you will not get 50/5, they put you at 30 because you called them for problems with your line, the only thing you can do is to change your program to 30/3

Hi,
i have a VDSL 50/5 connection from OTE.

With Fritz 7590 my speed is 33/5
with Fritz 7490 my speed is 42/5
and with Cosmote SpeedPort 2i my speed is 36/5

I dont know why, but the new Fritz is much slower in compared with the previous 7490. So i will continue with my old 7490.

In my opinion you have to connect your OTE Speedport, call 13888 to ask to set your line back to the default settings (maximum speed) - if this is done, purchase a 7490 and connect it.

thank you for help, until 1 week my disconnections goes away :-) i will call 13888 to give me back my speed.....for me is the upload more important so if is possible to give me 5mb is fine....
