Πάντως εγώ δεν θα το έκανα ποτέ να λιώσω το κουτί του usr9106 για να βάλω το σειριακό βύσμα.
Στο site δείχνει και άλλα μοντέλα εσωτερικά. Ελπίζω να κινήσει το ενδιαφέρον όσων ασχολούνται με κατασκευές.

Hacking the USR9106 router
The USRobotics 9106 wireless ADSL gateway is designed around Broadcom's 6345 ADSL CPE chip which runs linux and most of its firmware source code (incomplete kernel + userspace programs) is distributed by USRobotics.

* What have I done so far:
o MkFirmware: a shell script to split and build a firmware file following Broadcom firmware format
o CramfsPatches to make cramfsck and mkcramfs deal with USRobotics file system images correctly
o USR9106 photos: Photos of the dissasembly process of the router
o SshFirmware: Created modified firmware that has ssh protocol support appart from the unsecure telnet.
o USR9106 serial console photos: Me and Ajo managed to get a serial console form the router

* What I'm doing/I'll be doing:
o Make Broadcom's kernel source (provided by USRobotics) compilable and usable
o Modify my router hardware to include USB support (broadcom specs confirm the chip includes an USB 1.1 interface and this looks like the right place to solder a connector). That would make us able to extend the routers storage space to something bigger than the 2MB flash.

πάντως αν μπορέσει να υπάρξει flash support βλέπω μερικες εταιρίες να ψάχνουν για δουλειά!!

Mην βιάζεσε να κρίνεις.......

Με την σειραική έχει δύο πράγματα, το πρώτο είναι telnet από την σειριακή, οπότε καλύτερο έλεγχο του μηχανήματος, και το δεύτερο είναι μία rs232-to-ethernet bridge που κοστίζει πάνω από 150€ να την αγοράσεις σκέτη.....
