(NYSE: DASH), (“DoorDash” or the “company”), and Wolt Enterprises OY (“Wolt”) today announced they and certain stockholders of Wolt have entered into a definitive agreement whereby DoorDash will acquire Wolt in an all-stock transaction (the “Transaction”). Both companies share a mission to build a global platform for local commerce that connects consumers with the best of their community, drives incremental revenue for merchants, and provides meaningful earning opportunities for millions of Dashers and couriers around the world. We expect this partnership to accelerate our progress towards our common goals.

– Transaction is valued at approximately € 7.0 billion, subject to customary purchase price adjustments

– All stock transaction; DoorDash equity issued as part of the transaction will be valued at $206.45 per share, based on DoorDash’s 30-day VWAP as of November 3, 2021

New retention pool of approximately € 500 million reserved for Wolt management and employees

Financial Impact:

– Expect to be accretive to GOV growth in 2022

– Expect pro forma combined Adj. EBITDA of $0 to $500 million in 2022

Closing:

– Transaction is subject to customary closing conditions for transactions of this type, including applicable regulatory approvals

– We currently expect to close the transaction in 1H 2022

The board of directors of both companies have approved the transaction and stockholders representing the majority of Wolt’s outstanding shares have committed to support the transaction. Όχι από τις καλύτερες εταιρείες, από ό,τι φαίνεται, τόσο για τα εστιατόρια όσο και για τους ντελιβεράδες. Ίσως βέβαια αυτά τα έχει το συγκεκριμένο business model και η DoorDash έχει μάθει από τα λάθη της και τα έχει ξεπεράσει.

Κάτι ανάλογο με τα τιπς είχαν κάνει και γνωστές πλατφόρμες φαγητού και πιτσαρίες που σε ρωταγε κατά τη παραγγελία τι τιπ θες να δώσεις στο διανομέα.. Άραγε αυτό που επιλέγαμε το δίνανε; Εγώ πάντως επέλεγα και εκεί κάτι αλλά έδινα και στο χέρι του ανθρώπου κάτι.. Για σίγουρα μήπως δεν του το δίνανε..

Είναι καθαρά θέμα μαγαζάτορα. Εγώ ρωτάω τους ντελιβεράδες που έρχονται λένε ότι τα παίρνουν όλοι. Στην Αμερική σε φόρα συστήνουν να δίνεις χωριστά μετρητά κι όχι μέσω της όποιας πλατφόρμας/website γιατί τους τα καθυστερούν, δεν τους τα δίνουν ολόκληρα κ.λπ., εδώ δεν έχω ακούσει για παρατράγουδα. Το μόνο κακό είναι που στο efood π.χ. σου έχει επιλογή 50 λεπτά, 1 ευρώ, 2 ευρώ, αν π.χ. θες να δώσεις ενάμιση ή θα σε πιάσει η τσιγκουνιά ή θα δώσεις περισσότερα. Νομίζω προσωπικό θέμα του καθενός, τουλάχιστον είναι καλύτερα από πριν λίγα χρόνια η κατάσταση, υπήρχαν πολλοί που δούλευαν μαύρα και δεν έπαιρναν φράγκο, μοναδική τους αμοιβή ήταν τα tips. Προσωπικά θα ντραπώ να μη δώσω, ο φοιτητής όμως π.χ. θα ζοριστεί κάπου αλλού αν θελήσει να δώσει ένα καλό tip.

Εδώ κάτι παλικάρια από συγκεκριμένα μαγαζιά τα ρώτησα. Μου είπαν φαίνεται στην απόδειξη το tip και τους τα δίνουν στο χέρι άμεσα.
