Ένα changelog θα ήταν ενδιαφέρον, αλλά δεν ξέρω πόσο εύκολα μπορεί να βρεθεί, γιατί συνήθως η CISCO δεν δίνει μάλλον για λόγους ασφαλείας.

Το doc δε λέει τίποτα. Μπούρδες, απλά rename το κάνεις που το ξέρεις. Αν πάρεις ένα οποιοδήποτε παλιό doc τα ίδια πράγματα λένε. Επίσης το πινακάκι ενδέχεται να μην είναι και ενημερωμένο για να έχει συμπεριλάβει τις τελευταίες εκδόσεις, γιατί εμένα οι 3.0.43 και 4.0.15 μια χαρά παίζουν στο ρουτεράκι μου.

Προσοχή δεν είναι όλα τα firmware για όλες τισ σειρές cisco με adsl interfaces, γι' αυτό ζήτησα τα doc.

Με το 3.0.43 χρονίζω πιο ψηλά σε σχέση με το 4.0.15, και με ios c870-advipservicesk9-mz.124-15.T4.bin είμαι σταθερά χωρίς τα πολλά προβλήματα του c870-advipservicesk9-mz.124-22.T.bin

Ναι, τα docs λένε και για ποια platforms είναι:

1.	Introduction

Firmware 3.0.43 was developed to solve a requirement for Telefonica, Spain and is to be used only by Telefonica. It is not intended to for general deployment of Cisco ADSL modems.  3.0.43 provides specific ADSL interoperability requirements as described in the following section. 
2.	Telefonica Requirement

Firmware 3.0.43 is based on firmware version 3.0.39 and has been extensively tested and certified by Telefonica, Spain.  The default configuration restricts the use of upstream tones

3.	Target Platforms
Loading of the firmware file from flash separate from IOS is supported on all the Fixed ADSL Integrated Services Routers. Following is the list of platforms supported:


1 .Cisco 857
2. Cisco 876, Cisco 877
3. Cisco 1801, Cisco 1802
4. HWIC-1ADSL1, HWIC-1ADSLI, HWIC-ADSL-B/ST, HWIC-ADSLI-B/ST




4.	Upgrade Instructions

1. Download the file and rename the file "adsl_alc_20190.bin".
2. Copy the firmware file to the flash:
3. For the new firmware to take effect, reboot the device.
4. The “show dsl interface atm 0” output gives the details of the firmware file in use

Example taken from the output of  “Show dsl interface atm 0/0/0” command on an c1841 router running IOS 12.4(19.3)T1

Note:

-	The firmware file should not be renamed when being copied  to the flash , Since the router looks for the presence of file named "adsl_alc_20190.bin" to initiate the flash upgrade process 
-	If IOS is now able to find a valid firmware in the flash then it would always use that rather than the firmware embedded in IOS .If users want to use the embedded firmware, they have to ensure that there is no valid firmware file in flash.


5.	Caveats

The following issues are fixed in the latest firmware 4.0.13

CSCso83573: HWIC-1ADSL on 1841 with 12.4(6)T not training properly.

Problem Details: Customer: Telecom Italia, End Customer: Generali

Software Version: 12.4(6)T FW 2.6.4

DSL line goes up and down over a 1841 running ADSL FW 2.6.4  in the following conditions:

1) DSLAM Alcatel release 4.6 blade ABLT-E
2) line loop of 500m with simulated colored noise
3) ADSL profile from the DSLAM ( DS:22240-4832  US:1216-256) target noise margin 6 INP=0.5 delay=16ms.

1.	Introduction

Firmware 4.0.15 is the latest ADSL firmware from ST Microelectronics and solves the bit-swap problem  against Alcatel DSLAM ABLT-D line card seen in Annex M testing.

The Firmware file version (4.0.13) resolves some of the specific ADSL interoperability issues with Alcatel DSLAM (Refer to Caveats).  IOS release 12.4(6)T was used to test with this firmware version. >
IOS 124-19.18.T5 was used to test this firmware version. 
2.	Summary

4.0.15 firmware performs as well if not better than the previous firmware revisions 4.0.3 and 3.0.15. For the 4.0.15 regression test plan and test reports please go to this link:

Και τα δύο δηλαδή είναι μια χαρά για 876 και 877. Και από ότι λέει το 3.0.43 δεν είναι general deployment, αλλά για την Telefonica της Ισπανίας. Το 4.0.15 θεωρείται το καλύτερο.

εγώ δοκίμασα 2 φορες το 4.0.15 και δεν συνχρονίζει ο 876.
Ειμαι σε Ηuawei dslam και ίσως φταίει αυτό

Γεια χαρα! υπαρχει περιπτωση να μου στειλει καποιος το τελευταιο firmware για cisco 857w? λογο του οτι το εχω αγορασει απο αγγελια και δεν εχω κωδικους για τη cisco!
