Έχω έναν Samba server (έκδοση 3.6.25) ο οποίος παίζει τον ρόλο του file server μου εδώ και πολλά χρόνια και λειτουργεί μια χαρά.
Έχω μερικούς φακέλους που έχουν δικαιώματα ανάγνωσης/εγγραφής όλοι οι χρήστες και κάποιους άλλους που έχουν μόνο συγκεκριμένοι.
Στους υπολογιστές μου με Windows XP, Windows 7 & Windows 10 αν ο χρήστης του λειτουργικού έχει το ίδιο username και κωδικό με τον χρήστη του Samba, μπαίνει στους περιορισμένους φακέλους χωρίς να ζητούνται στοιχεία πρόσβασης.
Όμως σε οποιονδήποτε υπολογιστή με Linux (οποιαδήποτε διανομή, οποιοδήποτε γραφικό περιβάλλον, οποιοσδήποτε file manager, ακόμα και στο smb4k) δεν λειτουργεί έτσι και ζητάει πάντα username & password, άσχετα αν και εκεί είναι ακριβώς ο ίδιος χρήστης και κωδικός με τον Samba
Αν και το θέμα πιστεύω ότι είναι πολύ απλό, ψάχνω πολλές μέρες χωρίς αποτέλεσμα. Τι παίζει; Βάζω παρακάτω όλο το περιεχόμενο του /etc/samba/smb.conf μπας και βγάλει άκρη κάποιος:
